Abstract

Key words: ergonomics, visibility, noises, vibration, comfort, safety.

The theme tackling was performed on the basis of an interdisciplinary analysis of the factors directly influencing the man-machine system, from the perspective of ensuring the driver´s comfort and the traffic safety. It is analyzed the impact of the factors in the technical, ergonomic, psycho-physiological, motivational domain and these are proposed some solutions for improving the driver´s comfort, with positive repercussion on the labour quality and the road traffic safety. The paper has followed a logical way, starting from purely theoretical notions, passing through the part of concrete analysis of the sources generating pollutant emission on the tractor and the constructive elements contributing to achieving the comfort at the working place. The practical application for improving the driver´s comfort was performed by a cabin belonging to a series tractor, from an older generation of machinery. The viability of the applied technical solutions is confirmed by the experimental results which, although not spectacular, express a progress and confirm the starting hypotheses. The performed study and experiments develop the compliance and harmonization perspectives the EU Directives in the domain.
