Many problems in machinery design practice can be formulated as optimization task. The variant of numerical gradient-based optimization method is presented in this paper. The formulation of the objective function in mathematical form can by given as a black-box for the application of this method, typically by the use of the SW procedure, and the proper algorithm of the method is based on the sensitive analysis.
