Abstract
Friction clutches are still dominantly used in road motor vehicles. Besides the fact that basic concept remains the same, the quality and perfor mance requirements are stronger and stronger. Further development of the friction linings structure and production technology is crucial for fulfilling of those requirements.
This paper shows the way on which a very complex research (theoretical and experimental) was organized in order to identify the parameters of structure of friction linings having a significant influence on their working characteristics.
