Abstract
This presentation deals with tests and test sequencences on test rigs respectively dynamometer when testing brake pads/linings with a special view on vehicle safety. The test sequence on the dynamometer with the scatter bands of the single tests is shown. Than the tests of the mechanical properties of the pad are listed. Type approval of brake pads/linings for original equipment and after market by using a dynamometer is also shown with a short view on the consequences on vehicle safety
