Abstract
Automotive blowers, used in air conditioning systems, produce higher and higher pressure and flow rate. This specification induces a continuous increase of performance. For this reason, CFD analysis has been introduced in blower applications. This tool enable to visualize and quantify the energy loss areas, and leads to blower performance optimizations. Special care has been used in order to develop the computation methodology. The first set of slides deals with this specific development, and the second set with some typical result examples, which lead to the optimization means.
