Abstract
The development process of new motor vehicles is unthinkable without modern test stand techniques.
This paper describes the example of loading devices for engine test stands and automation systems for mileage accumulation tests on vehicles. Thereby, the focus lies on the special qualities of hybrid dynamometers as well as on the characteristics and functions of state-of-the-art mileage accumulation test. It ist shown that both are able to serve costs and directly help shortening the development cycles in automotive manufacturing.
