Abstract

Rapid diesel engines for automotive needs a highly dynamic ignition and combustion. A new way to reach these goals is represented by the transfer of swirl chamber qualities to combustion chamber inside piston head, by altering the circulation of gases throw orifices with tangent jets. Ceramic material inserted in piston head provides resistance at high temperatures of orifices zone. The first researches emphasized a high potential for increase combustion efficiency, which influenced fuel consumption, start at low temperatures and pollution emission.
