Abstract

The cause of performance characteristics, especially the low NO & SFC of CVCC engine has not been clarified. The author proposed a new hypothesis " Re-Entrainment of Active Burnt Products Phenomenon (REABP-PH) of itself in-cylinder ”. Several trials to valid this hypothesis were made and low oxygen concentration has become clear to be a solving key. On the other hand, it was elucidated the high temperature , low oxygen combustion was the cause of low NO & SFC characteristics of the HRS industrial furnace by several basic studies. This combustion state in furnace is quite similar with that of the upper mentioned REABP-PH of CVCC. This serves to be a re-verification of it. This paper concludes to suggest this principle of High Temperature, Low

Oxygen Concentration and Strong Turbulent (HTLOCST) combustion will be a new clue for developing modern ecological engine.
