Abstract

The study presented in this paper allows as early as designing phase to select better solutions with a view to reduce noise and vibrations level due the interaction of the power unit - carriage body system. Determination of the optimal areas to install the power unit mounts must be establish already during the development of the engine. Finite elements modeling of the power unit and body allows to study the dynamic behaviour of their deformable structure. There are presented the employed models and some results obtained during modal analysis using a workstation. Geometry was created starting from two different power units and carriage bodies.
