Abstract

A vehicle performance is affected by the internal / external causes such as manufacturing dispersion of component characteristics, aging, and temperature and atmosphere changes. We developed the design method to estimate thus performance distributions with maximum entropy method and to calculate specifications with high performance robustness using fuzzy theory. This paper describes the details of these methods and examples applied to a power window system.
