Abstract

Compared with Automatic Transmission(AT) and Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) f15 Automated Mechanical Transmission (AMT) features higher transmission efficiency and lower cost. Automatic operation of clutch is the key and difficult point in researching and developing AMT. With the changing of hydraulic fluid viscosity resulting from different seasons regions and operating conditions the clutch control schedule is requested to be modulated to maintain the engaging performance This paper presents the adaptive control method of clutch engagement. It is proved that this kind of control improves the AMT performance efficiently.
