Abstract

SINRAT is a powerful computer program for the research, reconstruction, and analysis of traffic accidents. SINRAT is provided with a pre-processor that allows the introduction of all the factors which affects in the accident like the driver’s maneuvers, road profile, vehicles’ data, etc. SINRAT has a simulation model of the behavior of 3D vehicles using the bond graph technique. Between each two vehicles, it applies a dynamic collision model. SINRAT permits the simulation of the behavior of the vehicles before, during and after the collision. Lastly, SINRAT has a graphic post-processor which permits the visualization of the movements of the vehicles and the visualization of variables in terms of x-y plots.
