Abstract

Distributed traffic control is a critical area of applied research for its impact on everyday life in large cities. It requires flexible and adaptive policies to handle changing traffic flows, unexpected situations, and uncertain information spread through the system. This work presents a traffic control system built upon a distributed architecture, which incorporates several artificial intelligence techniques to provide the necessary flexibility and adaptability.
