Abstract

Between now and 2010, the number of road vehicles in Slovakia and their fuel consumption could increase by 60%. The vast differences in the family income and in the car price create natural limits for mobility increase. This fact influences strongly the car fleet average age. By accepting the reciprocity principle, i.e. a larger group and subgroup production and accessories (for large conglomerates of the NEW TRIADA - EU, NAFTA, ASEAN) , the solvency of inhabitants can be significantly increased and unemployment can be lowered. The improvement of antipollution technology (by producers of new cars and fuels) combined with high automotive fleet inovation and new recycling system should bring also for SR a significant improvement in air quality.
