Abstract

On the basis of the research on the characteristics of the automotive 3D separated flow on which we have been working for many years. We have adopted numerical integration with the data of velocity and total pressure measured by wake-transverse method in the wake of behind a production car. And we have divided the drag into three parts. The result will be a strong support for engineers when they search for the optimum shape of passenger cars to reduce the drag.
