Abstract
Engine optimisation requires ECU calibrations that target the reduction of exhaust emissions as well as engine fuel consumption. A considerable number of measurements have to be performed in order to reach the engine's optimum, e.g. in terms of fuel consumption. Short measurement times coupled with high accuracy, and reliable and continuous measurement help to reduce the overall test time and increase test run efficiency. A fuel mass flow meter based on the Coriolis principle with precision fuel temperature control was developed to meet these requirements.
