Abstract

Recently, 32-bit microprocessors have begun to be utilized for automotive embedded control applications. These microcontrollers offer many performance advantages, but their design and complexity require new software development and calibration methods. One challenge is the fact that many new microcontrollers do not provide access to the internal data bus. This means that traditional methods of accessing data, such as dual-port RAM, are no longer possible. In this paper, we present a solution to this challenge and techniques for utilizing the solution for calibration and bypass rapid-prototyping.
