Abstract
In this paper, a kind of quick and universal development system for microcontroller is introduced. A dual-port RAM is used for realizing data exchange between a personal computer (PC) and a microcontroller. The abundant software and hardware resources in a PC can be utilized for establishing a real time interactive system, through which pure simulation, real time hardware simulation and road test of a vehicle system can be done in a specific programming environment of a single PC. Serial and CAN communication can also be easily implemented with this system. The system, based on microcontroller Intel 87C196CA, has been applied successfully to a vehicle ABS control system.
