Abstract

A standard routine was made for fatigue strength evaluation, in which computational calculations are mainly used for dynamic simulation, stress analysis and so on, while amount of experiments are minimized. As an example an upper control arm of double wish-bone suspensions was taken and was to be redesigned. As the result the weight could be reduced by 18% without sacrificing the fatigue durability.
