Abstract
The objectives of the innovative dual - function transmission control strategy conceived by Porsche under the registered name "CVTip" are to significantly increase the acceptability orf continuously variable transmissions for customers, and thereby to provide access for CVT's to the mass markets. This control strategy is universally applicable to all kinds of continuously variable transmissions.
