Abstract

Differences in perceptual and operational requirements for intelligent cruise control systems forward collision warning systems are discussed. Specific emphasis is given to field of view and range/azimuth resolution, and response time for the two classes of system. ICC requirements are shown to be a subset of the more general FLCW requirements.
