Abstract
In this paper we derived characteristic equations for medium-duty trucks with dual-tires that tend to wander on rutted road. Theoretical analysis based on the characteristic equations estimates driving stability. With this technique, there is good correlation between theoretical estimates and vehicle test results. Moreover, driving stability is improved by changing certain characteristics of the tires and the dimensions of the tread.
