Abstract

Bangkok is known to be a city of traffic jam. Some area jams about 18 hours a day. The average traffic speed at present in Bangkok is between 5-20 kilometres/hour. Most of the automobiles in Bangkok are not only old cars but are also not properly maintenance. Thus caused a lot of pollution problems. The works in this paper present the measurements of gasoline and diesel vehicles emissions. CO, HC were measured by NDIR analysers on about 100 gasoline vehicles. Smokes were taken by Bosch and Opacimeter on about 700 trucks, buses, and light diesel vehicles. All results were shown in tables and graphs. Driving Models in several streets and roads in Bangkok were performed, and Bangkok Driving Mode were analysed and presented. Thai Emission Regulations follows ECE Regulations. Summerized of Standards and Enforcement Dates were also given in the paper.
