Abstract

With the recent advent of diversification when considering value, growing importance has been attached to individual feeling such as pleasantness in various branches of industry. Individual feeling has two pivotal components: pleasantness (or comfort) and wakefulness (or arousal level). Our industry needs techniques to measure these quantitatively and a method of feeding these findings back to influence the design and control of vehicles. One such technique, an algorithm to estimate with high precision these two indicators by EEG fluctuation, a physiological indicator, using the neural network has been obtained in the present study.
