Abstract

We have developed an innovative braking system, which is highly efficient and provides a natural brake feel, for hybrid vehicle application. The linear-control solenoid valve, which is a constituent element of this system, is expected to become the core hydraulic unit for future brake control systems.

This paper reports on a liquid pressure-regenerative braking cooperative system that we have commercialized. It maximises the efficiency of the regenerative braking system without deteriorating the brake feeling in a vehicle such as a hybrid EV (Electric Vehicle) in which the regenerative brake torque is frequently changed by a motor.
