Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to give a general overview of electronic management and data collection as applied to competition vehicles, particularly in Australia. The paper is not designed as a definitive engineering treatise on the subject, but as an example of what has been achieved by a small highly motivated group in a world market.
While most automotive engineers are more than conversant with the detailed technical aspects of electronic engine management systems, this paper is intended to throw some light on the diverse situations that arise with the design, interface and application of management systems when being applied to a broad range of customer applications
