Graphical Stability Analysis of Fuzzy Control System Illustrated by an Example

Abstract

Absolute stability conditions have been derived for a fuzzy control system having two inputs and two outputs using a controller derived by indirect fuzzy logic. These absolute stability conditions have been derived using Yakubovich's method where the stability condition can be derived by a formulation similar to Popov's condition in association with a constraining relation between the gain of two types of controllers. The example presented here confirms an analytical result obtained by a graphical method.
