Abstract
A high strength, epoxy foam has been developed for increasing stiffness, strength and durability of automotive joints and sections whilst minimising operator health risks and environmental impact. Offering many advantages over polyurethane foams and available as an extruded or die-cut preform or as a one or two component pumpable compound, its versatility permits its use in a diverse range of applications.
Automotive engineers may exploit this unique combination of attributes in their efforts to reduce NVH (Noise, Vibration and Harshness), increase durability and fatigue resistance and provide greater vehicle occupant safety through increased crush resistance.
