Abstract
During the last tens years, the increasing of efficiency of road vehicles has been a high-priority target. Consequently, many efforts have been made to develop Hybrid propulsion systems. P.S.A Peugeot-Citroën Electric Vehicle Department have been involved in many projects aimed at modelling and building drive trains and Hybrid vehicles since 1988. Serial and parallel systems are the most diffused Hybrid drive but it is small part of possible solution. Therefore, an evaluation of Hybrid drive systems is necessary.
So we have build a systematic approach to defined all kind of drive trains , simple or complex.
The aims of this paper are:
- To introduce this new approach of classification of Thermal-Electric drive systems
- To discus about the opportunity to included this classification in the file of Hybrid Vehicle references.
