Abstract

‘From art to part’ purely in the digital environment, has been the goal of many OEMs in recent years.

In this paper the Daewoo Worthing Technical Centre approach to Digital Product Development will be discussed. The paper looks into the strategic path, which Daewoo has laid out for itself, the approach to achieving this goal, the progress made so far, and then looks at the way technology is moving into the future. To date, Daewoo have made bold steps into digital styling, product data management and Digital Mockup.

For Daewoo this is only the beginning. With the ultimate aim being to take maximum advantage from developing technology and thus reduce time and cost to market.
