Abstract

Our presentation describes a procedure dedicated to validate a truck component FEM (Finite

Element Model) through the comparison between the results of the component modal behaviour simulation, as foreseen by calculation, and the ones arising from the experimental modal analysis.

The differences in terms of modes and frequencies between these two results sets orients the FEM tuning, untill it reaches a good modal behaviour approximation with respect to a real sample or prototype under investigation.
