Abstract
This paper proposes to develop an application of Finite Element Method for trucks rear axle. The solid tridimensional geometrical model of the housing was created with Pro/ENGINEER and then transferred and analyzed with ANSYS. The four working regimes of the rear axle were studied and, for each case, graphs of deformation and stress fields were obtained.
