Abstract
The paper presents the results of design, research and test activity of a waste-gate turbocharger applied to a turbo-charged ROMAN engine. The project was tested on a 798-05 engine type and compared to the serial production turbo-charger. It proved constant performance increase, lowering the smoke level in stationary and free acceleration tests, meeting requirements of diesel emission engine regulation.(R 24.03 ECE-ONU)
