Abstract

The paper presents aspects, requirements and improvements concerning utilization of sensors for the control of the automotive engine. Engine control has a decisive influence on the valuation of automobiles. The microprocessors and the sensors let the driver know the most sophisticated processes that take place inside the engine. (The necessary sensors for the control of the transmission are the sensors that are used for showing the rotative of the engine, the rotation output from the gearbox, for checking the oil pressure, to measure a torque etc.) The requirements for automotive sensors are not easily satisfied, but considering future trends, the objective is to establish more rational and reliable control system.
