Abstract
A phenomenological model on the mechanism of the soot production in the Diesel chamber is proposed. This model is based on the studies on the structure and composition of soot in the Diesel smoke. The mathematical model of soot formation is also established logically in accordance with the turbulent diffusion combustion nature. The results agree well with the experimental data obtained in a direct injection engine.
