Abstract
This work presents the results obtained as part of some experimental investigations following the determination of naval Diesel engines type ALCO R251 behaviour at running in transitory regimes. For this purpose, the most representative transitory regimes were considered. The results obtained offer the possibility of determining, in general, the possible ways of improvement the running of naval Diesel engines in these regimes.
