Abstract
Clamp force loss as a result of unsuccessful or variable wheel bearing clamp during assembly allows for the possibility of a wheel bearing system with higher than designed degree of tilt resulting in a subsequent reduction in life. FAG Orbital Forming technology allows for secure and autonomous integration of the bearing in the system along with additional cost and weight savings.
