Abstract
As a result of a R&D programme MASTER S.A. has developed a new light engine to power several applications, mainly for agriculture users. It is a 600 cmc, two cylinders, water-cooled, four strokes spark engine.
Not only to test the construction solutions, the research have been carried out also to obtain high performances especially in the field of consumption and pollution level.
The paper presents the most important results regarding the optimisation of energetically solution by means of increasing the compression ratio, the definition of combustion chamber geometry and the most suitable of air/fuel ratio.
