Abstract
Concerns over air pollution has sparked interest in alternatively fuelled vehicles. The potential and advantages of fuel cells made this system to be considered as a major competitor in assuring the propulsion of the future vehicle. The purpose of this paper is to get familiar with actual problems and perspectives of fuel cells, considering emissions, energetic, economic and impact aspects, considering the positive aspects like, negligible pollutants, silent, high electrical efficiency, good start-up procedure, low maintenance costs.
