Abstract
The paper presents the power drive model of a tracked vehicle using an automatic transmission. The model is used in order to study the influences of the ratio between the engine and the torque converter on acceleration performances of the vehicle.
The validation of the model was performed by experimental research consisting on determination of speed vs. time diagram for acceleration on concrete road.
The main conclusions of the paper are focused on the influences of the torque converter working parameters on acceleration performances.
