Abstract
A model for calculating of turbulent diffusion combustion in air and in the Diesel Engines is proposed. The model includes the k- ε model for turbulence and the conserved scalar model for diffusion combustion. The thin flame concept is used for calculating the instantaneous thermochemical state of the combustion mixture. The species concentration as well as the temperature of combustion can be then calculated thanks to their relations with the fraction mixture f.
For the first stage of research a one-dimensional equations system is established. The results given by the model is validated against the experimental data on turbulence diffusion flames in air and on combustion in Diesel engines.
