Abstract
Steady simulations via CFD have an advantage for qualitatively assessing air-curtain efficiency (Fig.1) and refrigerator positioning; however, they are not proper for estimating instantaneous temperatures in the time advancement process.
In this paper, we suggest a practical and handy numerical scheme for un-steady simulations that allows the refrigerator pre-running time and air curtain performance to be quantitatively estimated in the time advancement process. The scheme is based on a commercial CFD code and incorporates refrigeration performance and thermal load models. Moreover, when we apply to analysis that has chosen a RANS with a wall function, it is difficult to retain the universalism of heat transfer behaviours. Consequently, we also have endeavoured to solve the above issue in this study.
