ABSTRACT This paper will show the effect of road-excited vibrations on a vehicle with focus on the engine mounts, using the Multi Body System (MBS) method. The results from two different aggregate support concepts, based on load spectrum and vibration comfort, are described and analysed in detail. The MBS-Simulation is an important simulation technique in the engineering process at MAGNA STEYR Fahrzeugtechnik (www.magnasteyr.com).
