Abstract
Vehicle homologation is a complex and expensive process, due to the country legislation and vehicle assembly plant requirements. Targeting the product excellence and the importance of human to environment integration, vehicles are submitted to various extreme and severe conditions.
By exploring potential validation test time and cost reductions an alternative for vehicle homologation in laboratory was presented. The adoption of value analysis/value engineering tool, the alternative method reduce by 50% the homologation tests while keeping its value.
