Abstract
This paper describes a project currently being undertaken to develop a system for rapid production of non-linear dynamic models for road vehicle conceptual design. Based on the Leeds-developed package VDAS, the current system uses linear and non-linear modules to produce a Matlab-Simulink model, tailored to suit the user's information requirements with a user-friendly front end. So far steps have been taken toward a methodology for creating non-linear interchangeable modules within Simulink and integrating them with a range of linear models. Future work will include modernising the way in which VDAS produces the linear models.
