Abstract

The Lane Following Assistance System reduces the operation burdens of drivers when they drive on highways and transmits the appropriate road curvature and lane deviation to drivers using the steering reaction torque at the same time. There is a confliction problem of between the system and the driver when this system is activated. Therefore, a system configuration which considers the human interface is used to solve this problem. The effect of the system is verified using an actual vehicle. As a result, it was verified that the lane following assistance improves and the efficiency is maintained even when driving for long periods of time.
