Abstract

Studying the sensibilities of drivers is important for enhancing the value of cars. This work aims to define, test, and evaluate driving pleasure, as limited research has been conducted on this topic to date. First, driving pleasure is defined as the pleasure that a subject feels after experiencing a driving course. Second, vehicle parameters corresponding to subjective ratings are measured experimentally. There is a correlation between the subjective ratings and track the vehicle center of gravity. Thus, vehicle lateral control and the constituent of feedforward control are extracted by the concept of the driver model. The feedforward control element increases when a subject experiences driving pleasure. The results demonstrated that driving pleasure can be evaluated experimentally.
