Abstract
JATCO has launched its new belt-type CVT for 2 - 2.5L class vehicles in November 2004. JATCO has been planning to deploy this CVT, as the new CVT2 model replacing the existing Hyper-CVT, for 2 - 2.5L FF model vehicles around the world, starting from Japan. This article is to introduce the engineering contents of the oil pump, which has been developed to improve the principal concepts of CVT2: fuel efficiency improvement, shift performance improvement, and size/weight reduction.
