Research on Control Stratgies of Double Clutch Transmission Based on System Simulation

Abstract

Double clutch transmission (DCT), as one of new type of profound transmission with high efficiency and shift quality, has been one hot research topic for recent years. Based on comprehension of structure and basic principle of DCT, a systematic research on DCT dynamic simulation was provided and some special characteristics, such as dynamic analysis of transmission, clutch friction features and transition of working status, then were researched in detailed.

With simulation package Matlab/Simulink, DCT dynamic model was built and then simulated results were outputted. Based on these work, a detailed analysis was done so that we could understand shift process of DCT deeply, create simulation platform for matching work between engine and DCT, furthermore, and establish a solid base for shortening the development cycle of DCT.
