Optimal Layout of Heat Exchanger and Blower

Abstract

A comprehensive investigation is carried out for the optimal layout of a radiator, a condensor and an axial fan for a vehicle. The relative positions of each component is examined for silent system. The observation of optimal layout is performed by estimation of sound level of the system measured in an anechonic chamber connected with a wind tunnel. In order to find optimal combinations between parameters, systematic approach for experiments such as Taguchi method is considered for analyzing the present experimental data. Consequently, a combination of the location of each component is an important condition for the efficient system in noise level.
